Betty Ingram & June McMillan (nee Batey) Zimbabwe

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

I'm trying to find descendants and/or information about two sisters Betty & June (nee Batey). Betty married Ronald Ingram in 1950 in Edinburgh and June married Neil McMillan in Dumfried in 1952. Both sisters came from Dumfries and lived there with their husbands, and I believe children, before emigrating to Rhodesia where they settled in Salisbury (Harare). They have an elder cousin still living in Dumfries who would dearly like to know what happened to them.

Have you tried the Zimbabwe white pages?

If you altered your title to include 'Harare' or 'Zimbabwe' people with local knowledge might be attracted to your post.

Have you looked to see if they are in anyone's tree on here?

I've looked up the Harare telephone directory and found several McMillans and Ingrams with addresses and phone numbers. I've passed these onto the cousin so it's up to her now if she wants to contact any of these people in the hope that one of them may be related.
