Jan: Yes, her family does have in interesting history. Considering the life she has had (Foster parents, boarding schools, etc) it's of great comfort to her.

I do have quite a bit of info - again, thanks for your input Reggie - but for her to contact an actual living relative would be pretty cool for her. I've sent a message or two via the search all trees bit - hopefully someone will reply :-)

Hi Reggie - thanks for your reply. I've been on another well known genealogy website for some time before coming on here - and have been looking the Thompson/Merryweather family tree for some time.

Accessing living relations seemed a bit easier here than on the other website. I think I'm going to try Jan's suggestion - and search all trees. Hopefully something will come up - and that the trees that come up are by people still on here :-)

Hello, I'm hoping there are some people on here that are relatives of the Royal family of Great Yarmouth. Anthony Royal (1778-1857) who served on the ship Spartiate in the battle of Trafalgar. Anthony Royal is my wife's 4 x great grandfather - she would love to say hello... :-)
