Robert, chances of anyone who knew them seeing this is almost nil.
If you are just looking for people who knew them, you might start with neighbours for which you need to know where they were living, obviously - the death certs might help you.
If seeking relatives, have you used search facility above to check other members' trees?

I am trying to locate anyone who knew Edward or his wife Audrey. Edward Stuart Washington was born 13 October 1916 in Stoke on Trent and died in Portsmouth 18 October 1997. Audrey died two years later in June 1999.
