hi reggie
Robert is very aware of her existence so it shouldn't be a shock for him to know some one wants to find him

Firstly, I think you should respond in some way to what Mistycat has put above.
There are a few Langleys in Brandon Suffolk on 192.com, might be worth investigating, plus a Robert J. Langley living in Suffolk.
Brandon seems to be quite a small place - have you considered checking out the electoral register for 1964? Normally you would need a street name to make it do-able, but if there is a manageable amount of streets it might be worth the effort to see if you can spot his parents.
There is a Brandon forum where the locals might be able to advise:

I'm guessing that you were born 1968/9, Neil.................

Why don't you try Forces Reunited?

Neil

Neil Report 3 Dec 2012 08:05

Any chance that Neil himself could reply on here?

Is he absolutely sure of the birth year, or just a guess?

Thank-you

Neil,

There is an E W Langley in 1969 + 70 phone book....

Think its ok to put on here as can easily be found on another site!!

E W Langley Farmer, Ferry Bank, Southery
and....Vineyard Farm, Ten Mile Bank

Phone exchange and Town....Brandon

Looks like he/she may have farmed at two places.....Could this be a relation to Robert?

Maybe if you were to write to the addresses you may well get info....farms tend to stay in families

Only one post to Neil's name, so anything previous has been deleted, or someone else was asking for the same info

Why are you asking about this man, Neil?

patchem

patchem Report 25 Nov 2012 08:34

This query is very familiar.
I looked for deaths of parents in the area, marriage, birth etc etc. Nothing obvious.
I had assumed born 1950-1952. In Guards at age 16?
Thread must have been deleted.

Maybe he was born a little earlier than 1950 if in coldstream guards in the 60's?
Do you know his parents' names?

Neil,

What is your connection to him? There are a lot of Robert Langleys born in the 50s but none in Suffolk.
