Rose Gilpin, my father's sister, (b 1902 Newton Abbot) married Leopold Marter, a New Zealand soldier in 1920 after the First World War, and went back to New Zealand with him. They lived in Taranaki. The last contact that my family had was after the Second World War. Are there any descendants out there now? I would be interested to hear.

As you say, it would have been courteous of me to acknowledge your help and I apolagise for not having done so , but I was suddenly hit by so much information that I had been struggling to obtain.
I have tried various New Zealand sources without success. Apparently there are no census records of any age.
