Did Frederick and Beatrice have any children, and, if so, where and when were they born?
Have you looked to see if anyone on here have them in their trees?
When was Dorothy born, and where?
Thank-you

Chances of anyone picking this up is probably small.

Your best bet it to look on Search Trees to see if anyone is researching the same family. You can them make contact them by clicking on the Find Out More link

Have you tried Search All Trees under the Search button above?

You can put the names of the family in and see if anyone else has them.

If you find a possible match you can contact the tree owner to see if you have a connection.

I would suggest that you delete the automatic message about looking at their tree. Most members will not open their trees to you until a connection has been established so just type your own message about who you think you may have in common.

i was just merely asking where can i go from there, fredericks sister dorothy james i can find nothing at all on, not even a birth so i assume she was born under a different name as the adoption records didnt start till the 1920s. marian pickard is frederick s james s mother .

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 11 Dec 2012 23:56

On 1911 census, two children have been born during the marriage, of whom one has died.

Clearly, the transcribed age of 25 is incorrect for Dolly, although the info is as per the image, which is a bit of a muddle.

You won't be able to find her birth, as you have no way of knowing what her birth name might have been.

ErikaH Report 11 Dec 2012 23:58

You could try researching the sister MARIAN whose birth I gave you..............

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 11 Dec 2012 23:59

BTW.....Dolly was more commonly a diminutive of DORIS

natasha Report 12 Dec 2012 00:02

thats what i have found confusing because of her parents ages, i do think the 2 as been crossed out but like u say its all a bit of a muddle.
i will try looking though the tree matches and fingers crossed something will come up many thx for all your help tasha

natasha Report 12 Dec 2012 00:05

i first got the name dorothy off frederick samuel james s marriage certificate, its signed dorothy james.

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 12 Dec 2012 10:12

In that case, one must assume Dorothy to be her correct forename at the time.

Looking once again at the 1911 image, I would venture to suggest that her age is 2...........the '5' appears to have been scribbled through

If she married, it would have to have been after 1932.........have you tried looking for such an event for her?

And please try looking for info about the (apparently) natural sister.............

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 12 Dec 2012 21:39

No, Natasha, no-one would advise you to research a dead child...........

Please absorb ALL the info posted.................it is for your benefit.
