Hi I'm trying to find my half sister born between Dec 1959 and Mar 1960 In Bristol area. Name of Paulette Marcy Brain, believe Newport area adoption. Name of mother known but not giving on this board.

She was registered in Mar qtr of 1960.

her birth GRO ref doesn't indicate adopted so you may be able to get the cert if you want it.

have you put yourself on the adoption register so if she is looking for birth family you may be informed

The GRO refs don't show adoptions that far back. Not until about 1962.

Rose is right, but if you get the actual birth cert it should be marked "adopted" if she was..... some children never got adopted.

You can order the certificate through GRO - even if she was adopted you can get the cert. although it won't give you her adoption info.

Have you registered with the adoption contact register? I see you were born earlier than her so were you also adopted?
