Ive been looking for my Dad Paul N Boden born 1954 his Mum was called Lily as far as im aware but she has sadly past away. He used to live in Lincoln when he and my Mum was married but no clues to his where abouts now 5 years of deadends.....does any1 know him :-( :-\

My Mum and Dad divorced but mum has no address or anyway of helping me contacting him. Yes my mums maiden name was Fyfe.

Presumably you have looked for him using 192.com?

I cannot see his birth on ancestry bmd - do you know where it was?

It's quite an unusual name - have you tried 192.com? There are a few on there.
Have you got access to your parents' marriage cert? It might help to pin down his birthplace and his parents' names.

I shall try 192.com thank you. Ive no access to their marriage certificate but have got my adoption papers on there way. I presume he was born in Lincoln, I know thats where his Mum is buried. thank you :)

Well, there is no Paul N. Boden birth anywhere in England/Wales as far as I can see (apart from 1963 and I am sure it isn't that one!). Hopefully your adoption records will hold some more clues.

You may have to consider that Paul was not Lily's natural child

You need to buy the cert of his marriage to your mother

I find it odd that you refer to speaking to your 'mum', as though she is Paul's ex-wife.............yet say that you were adopted

After asking more questions, Paul wasnt Lilys natural son :(

My mum remarried my step dad who adopted me, which means my Mum also had to adopt me. Also means Paul lost all rights into contacting me :(

There is a possible re-marriage in 1984 - and this lady is now in Mansfield on 192.com along with her daughter. I'll pm her details but stress this may not be his second wife.

There is also a marriage in 1999 in Mansfield (Barbara J)
The 1984 is Irma V.
You might need to apply for your Mother's marriage certificate, and those of the other 2 marriages, to check if either is your Father.

Your 'mother's own adoption' papers won't tell you any more than your mother can.

This man was obviously not called Paul N Boden when he was born

After some searching ive managed to locate Irma Boden- Lewis and Cheverne her daughter and my father was married to Irma but divorced over 20yrs ago according to Cheverne. Not sure where to look now :-(

As he divorced over 20 years ago, could the marriage in 1999. Mansfield, also be him?
If so, with a Barbara J on 192.com?

There were a Paul N and Barbara J in Brechin, Angus, in 2007, (years way out, error?) but she appears on her own in later years.
