Find Living Relatives

I've been trying to find anyone related to the Chettoe family in the Blackpool area to see if I'm related.
My 4 x Great Grandfather was Joseph (1800-1846) from Shropshire.
Looking through the Records I've managed to unncover a David M Chettoe (1958) marrying a Carron L Rawcliffe (1984) and a daughter there of : Katie Louise (1985).
I know the family has spread over the UK and there is a branch living in London, but what I really would like to find is the parents to David to ultimately connect the Blackpool & London links back to my Joseph.

Neil, the best thing to do is check to see if anyone else has this family in their tree. Use 'search all trees' option from the search box above and try contacting them. It's possible but not likely that any relatives will just happen by this thread.

did you know the above Carron Chettoe nee Rawcliffe is a member of this site and has her husband in her tree. You might try sending her a message, you never know!!

if you go back through the census returns you will find the above family does indeed come from Shropshire. Dennis who also has a brother, their father John E Chettoe was born in Nantwich, Cheshire. Following John E father on the 1911 census, John Chettoe was born in Salop, Myddle in 1878. He also had a brother named Joseph born 1873 Middle, Shropshire as per the 1881 census. Their father John 1829 was born in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

The London Branch seem to come from Staffordshire, namely John 1835 born staffordshire son of Samuel 1806 also born Staffordshire.

They possibly link up further back as Staffs and Shrops are not a million miles apart!

You speak of your 4 x great grandfather Joseph, have you gone further back,

Joseph Chettoe 4 may 1800 son of Joseph and Ann. Joseph married Ann Parry 3 April 1797 Ellesmere, Shropshire.

David's father was Dennis/Denis.......use that info as the basis for your research
