Advice/info about other sites is not prohibited, and if, as you say, Norcap is no longer a viable option, it would be helpful to everyone to know of alternatives

In fact, you would be doing people a service if you posted a thread to that effect...............it would save them advising the use of Norcap

As you have said Reg,since Norcap is sadly no longer an option it is good to advise other people onto a group that may be able to help.
The site I am on, is actually on Facebook, it is called Family Foot Prints.
The groups offers help and support for anyone who is trying to re-connect with their Birth Family.
This can range from adoptees or birth parents looking for their family members , to people who have lost contact with a member of their family over the years.
We offer practical help searching and support for those members who are looking, so if any one would like our help feel free to join.

Your post has not been removed Sheila

If it had, then why? you can give links or names of other sites on here as long as you don't say it is better than GR

Family foot prints is easy to find on facebook

Perhaps Sheila has not noticed the second page?
Except that she has more than 2500 posts to her name, so I do not know what she means.

Hi

Had a look before and went on to second page and only Regs last comment came up , when I went onto post date my comment came up as it was the last one, but funny enough it was not showing in page 2 even though, there was only the one comment from Reg on the page and loads of room left.
When I looked at the number of replies tot the thread . In my thread it said 21, when I went through the Finding Living Relatives page and found it, there is said replies 18, so I thought maybe GR had removed the comments, Weird or what must be gremlins at work ;-) Thanks anyway guys, just wanted people to know there are other places that can help as Norcap is now in limbo :-( :-

Hi,
Do you remember playing with any brothers or sisters when you were living with your parents Simon?
I'm asking you that because I believe I may have located them. They have a son living with them who may possibly be a year or so older than you. I'll search a bit more and find his date of birth and where he was born then let you know.
Cheers,
Peter

Lots of assumptions being made Peter, especially with a name like Davies.
The poster needs to go through the appropriate channel, as I said before to get an idea why he was adopted there may then be a very good reason why he wont want to make contact, or helped to understand his circumstances.
