Ingram would have been his birth surname. Not sure what it is now. He was born in 1945, his mother married and emigrated to Australia in the late 1940's early 50's. my dads name was Robert Thomson. All I know is that he was in the forces before he retired. Any info would be appreciated

What was his mother's name?

When/where did she marry Thomson?

Which country's 'forces' was Peter in?

EDIT

No record of a marriage in England/Wales for Robert Thomson to Ingram

Her maiden name was Ingram, she was never married to my father Robert Thomson.
He was in the forces in Australia. Peter went to Australia with his mother when she married.
Thanks

What was his mother's name? If we can find who she married, we might be able to search sideways, and find someone now related to Peter.

I think she married in Aberdeen, but I cannot find it . However I have found Peters birth registration in Aberdeen and then it's a dead end.

So he was born in Scotland......and is now, presumably, in Australia

Who told you about him? And about his military service?

Which parent do you share with Peter?

Yes he was born in Aberdeen. Hes my fathers son and was born before he met my mother. my aunt told me about him after both my parents passed away, and all she would tell me was that they emigrated to Australia and he was in the forces.. I tried writing to his family when I first started looking which was a few years ago but got no reply. Thanks
