Trying to trace the son of Arthur Dews. Arthur was born August 1920 and lived in Chickenley, Nr. Dewsbury.

He had a friend called Daisy who was with him when he died (Xmas day), I am assuming that she would have registered the death. They were not married, and I never knew her surname.

The only reason I suspect he had a son was from a comment someone said at his funeral. I didn't know him. Arthur and his wife Ivy fostered me 1966 - 1969), and knew my mother long deceased. I hoping the son may know who my father was.
Ivy and Arthur married in 1968. She passed away in I think 1977.

Sadly, if your mother didn't tell you who your father was, I doubt that the 'possible' son of someone who knew her would be privy to the details.

And please comply with site guidelines which state one post per topic.

Have you followed the advice given on your earlier thread?

From that other thread, it would appear that any child fathered by Arthur would have been illegitimate, and therefore unlikely to have been registered as Dews.............which would leave the child in the same situation as yourself, unless the mother told her child the identity of its father
