Wow, thanks for all that! Taking your posts in order,.....I have done an all trees search and looked on 192.com but had missed the ER for 1958, so that's interesting.
Re the marriage of Robert A Barley to Doris Young in 1927, Frdk Barley only married Elsie Young in 1928 and then had their Doris the same year, followed by Jean in 1932 and Ray in 1934.
Yes, I'd also found that Ray seems to marry John! I sent for the marriage certificate using 5d 56 but have had a very unhelpful reply saying that it cannot be provided because "The information stated on the application does not match the entry identified."!
I had found the Doris Barley death in 1984 but the birth in 1905 is wrong. Frdk and Elsie's Doris was born 1928.
The census info on Robert A Barley is interesting and I'm sure he fits in somewhere, but not as a brother to Frederick (born 1901) as his father was Percy, a certainty.
