His Father's name will be on the marriage certificate.
If Derek is still alive, perhaps you should ask him?

If you look up his birth on free bmd, that will give you his mother's maiden name.
You can then look for the marriage of his parents using the 2 surnames that you have found (though if his mother has been married before this will not necessarily work)

Added;
Derek's birth could be 1927, when you look it up.
There is not an obvious parents' marriage.

Is this his death, as no other Derek Redman born in this country in 1927 according to free bmd?

The man who was born in 1927 has a sister who married in the same area. Do you know of her?

Derek appears to have been married in 1951 in Todmorden. His father's name will be on that marriage certificate.

His wife could have been living in Shrewsbury, and then moved back to Hebden Bridge. June is her middle name.
