Did anyone work at the Palm Court hotel, Wake Green Road, moseley, Birmingham UK please, between 1960-1964?
If so, do you please remember Mary Johnson, sometimes known as Tessa or Tess? She lived and worked there between 1960/1964, possibly longer.
If you do remember her, do you please know where she went when she did leave the hotel?
Our search is in New Zealand at the moment. But someone hopefully knows where she did go.

Many thanks
Rosemary :-)

is it possible that she was homeless at the time & "worked" in return for board & lodgings?
The Palm Court Hotel has for many years been something of a hostel for the homeless.

Hi Wisechild,

Yes she was in a way homeless, as she spent most of her childhood in a children's home.
We just wondered if there was anyone on here who worked with her, and remembered her.
I don't think it is named Palm Court hotel now.
A letter is going in the Birmingham Mail next week to ask this question.
Thankyou
Rosemary
