Might be best to wait for the adoption info really, don't you think? - as hopefully it will tell you more.
If you do decide to use the register, this is the site:

https://www.gov.uk/adoption-records/the-adoption-contact-register

Best of luck - if you need more advice let us know, I am sure folks on here would be more than happy to help if they can.

At the moment I don't have my full adoption file but I will hopefully have it soon once they have all compiled all of the information together.

I didn't know about the National Adoption Register so I will definitely look about getting onto this and no address on the birth cert only that I was born in the Newport District.

Thank you for this information though and taking time to reply.

Chris.

Hi there C.
Can I just ask - do you have your full adoption file? If not you might consider this as there might be more info. And you could add contact details for any family members who might enquire in the future.
Have you registered yourself on the National Adoption Register? If your mother or other family members are looking for you they might be on there.
And do you have an address on your birth cert (no need to put it here)?

Hi I am looking for my birth mother named Carol Ann Smith.

I don't have much information but all I know is her name, my birth name was Phillip Smith and I was born in Newport, Wales, United Kindgom. Sadly there isn't a father's name on my birth certificate.

If it helps I was adopted as a baby and born 1988

If anyone has any information please let me know.

Thank you
