I have recently discovered that my father has a half sister that he has never known about. She was born Shirley D Tyler to Emily and Charles Tyler in Reading 1941.
Her father Charles had been married previously and had two children, Peter and Mary. My father (Peter Tyler) is now 86.
If anybody knows anything about Shirley Philbrick or her children Stephen(1970), Emma(1980), please respond to this message. Thanks.

not seeing any marriages for the children or picking em up on People Tracer so seems they have opted out from the public electoral rolls

Have you tried to contact anyone who has Stephen in their tree on here?

Added:
Someone else appears to have Shirley in their tree.

Stephen Taylor has Stephen, and Emma Taylor has Shirley.

I would firstly try contacting those tree owners as suggested by patchem.
I can't see marriages for either Stephen or Emma Philbrick.
Have you tried Facebook? There are a few Stephen Philbricks on there.
Unfortunately Shirley's husband appears to have been an only child so nothing obvious to be gained by looking at his family I think .

If, as Patchem says, "Stephen Taylor has Stephen, and Emma Taylor has Shirley"

then it rather looks like Shirley married a Taylor.

I do not think marriage entered into it - unless a different country.

Today I have rceived some additional information. The Death Certificate of Shirleys Mother, Emily Maud Tyler nee Coulson. She married again whe she was nearly 80 to William I A Moulden.
Emily died in Torbay March 1990.
Her DAUGHTER Shirley Doreen Taylor of 62, North Hill Close, Brixham Devon, Registered her death.
I cannot find when Shirley re-married to become a Taylor.
We now Know that I am looking for Shirley Doreen TAYLOR (Well done patchem)

Not sure if connected as the name is so common, but there is someone with surname Taylor in the same road on BT online.
As free to access, might be worth checking out - you never know.
Well done from me too patchem!

They are on the electoral Roll to 2005 at that address with a George T Taylor which was the christian name of her hubby Philbrick maybe they changed names.

They may have opted out of the current public rolls, I would write to that address .

Edit it does look as if they were there from 1998 -2004 and the property was again transferred in 2010

I was going to suggest the death certificates of the parents to see who registered the deaths.
Well done all round.
