The death records are too recent for freebmd......that's why I posted them on here.

They are taken from the FMP site, for which one has to pay

The date of birth is not on the BIRTH index.

It is on the DEATH index AFTER 1969....and is only as accurate as the info known by the person registering the death

William's birth date isn't actually relevant to your quest

DOB's are recorded on death certs after 1969

You should have no trouble in finding the man's birth on freebmd

Look for the marriage of Herbert W to Florence

THEN

Look for children born after 1911 by inputting the two surnames.................you will (or should) then see how I eventually got to the two deaths I posted.

Practise using freebmd.........you can't do FH without it

date of williams death 1937 correct. yes i contacted 5who have maria sometime ago but like me having problems have printed 1911 census of legrave hornsey and tried to establish link by freebmd but not sure how to do?how do i go about it please? thanks les

many thanks to you both the only info on this leg of the family is on this thread from you both i only have acess through genes,i went back to 1715 quite easy but have been strugeling on this leg over a year will certainly try search trees would appricate any help thankyou

If you look at the marriage that Reggie found

Marriages Sep 1911 (>99%)
Leeks Oliver Barnet 3a 814
Miller Annie L Barnet 3a 814

Webb Ethel Barnet 3a 814

you do not know if Ethel married Mr Leeks or Mr Speller.

So you need to look for children with combination Leeks/Webb and Speller/Webb, and hope that there are obvious births for one combination but not the other.
I would guess at children Ronald, Sidney, Edna S and Eric W, but I will leave you to find them.

Some of them may still be alive, and you could try search trees also, as there are some possible hits in trees on here.

Free bmd coverage does not go past the 1980's, and has gaps, so if you want help on later information could you specify what you have not found and we can try to help.
Or are you using genes or ancestry records already?
