I was born in March 1950 to Winifred Payne [born1932] of Barry South Glamorgan Wales. The only information I have of my father is that he was a young airman from I belive Perth and was based at St Athan camp,he was moved before I was born but did know of me.I do not want or need anything except to add to my family tree as it is very lopsided :-)

Hi Veronica.
I am guessing you mean Perth Scotland not Australia! There must be a lot of Robert Grants I imagine. I guess you have a rough idea how old he was in 1950, so the only thing I can suggest is to check Scotlands People for a birth - this is a pay-per-view site.
Otherwise you might try Forces Reunited, but this would only be of use if you were prepared to contact any possible Robert Grants who are registered there, which is obviously very tricky to say the least.
