ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

dawn Report 11 Apr 2013 05:46

Hi I am trying to research my tree to America, My Great grandaunt Mary Smith married John Luup in South Shields, Durham (north east England) in 1927 & emigrated to the US. Letters written to my great grandmother place them in the Bronx, New York in the 1930s.
Any information gratefully accepted - Dawn.

Thankyou all so much (Im very new to all this only been researching for about 1 week) xx Mary was indeed from Jarrow (my home town also) I was going round in circles didn't occur to me that they may of travelled separately(also I didn't know the origin of John Luup) - hopefully this information will help me search for their living relatives also xx Many thanks.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 14 Apr 2013 10:25

No problem.

You had asked about living relatives. Although the records we've found aren't conclusive, it's unlikely that they had any children.

dawn Report 14 Apr 2013 13:17

Also the address in the letters we have is 3941 Barnes avenue too :)
