Hi id like to find the family of my grandmother Ellen Davies nee Nicholson. I believe she had a sister Winifred who lived in the Middlesbrough area but they lost touch many many years ago.

The place of abode of the sister is no guide to the birthplace etc of the grandmother

just learning, bear with me. My Grandmothers name was Ellen davies nee Nicholson also known as Nellie, she was born in 1915 and died 1993. I only discovered a few years ago that she had a sister who i believe was called Winnie but I have no dates for her. They were from the Middlesbrough area and my Grandmother married Richard Davies.

Have you looked on FreeBMD for her birth. The record will show her mothers maiden name. You can then look for siblings using the surname combination

Looks like one daughter born to Winifred and John in 1946,
you can find her on free bmd.

She looks to be on someone's tree on here. (tree belonging to Janet)

There is a likely marriage for Winifred's daughter in 1966 in Middlesborough, and then she and husband and a person named Janet showing together in 192.com.
