Have had another PM from Pat, clearly states all she knows
is boy name not known born 1952 Basford , mothers name
Lesley, I have a belief this information has only recently been
brought to her attention, Lesley would not actually be related
to Pat, I believe it`s the biological father that`s related to Pat,
but I could be writing total rubbish, lets hope Pat returns to
her thread as I suggested and looks at the names found by
Patchem, I think that`s the only way to go, could be name mother
was known by actually second christen name , we may never
know.

BUT........if Pat is related to the child's mother , surely she knows the surname, and can look herself for the birth reg'n on freebmd

Has Pat actually indicated that 'Lesley' and her child are related to her?

Maybe my research is totally wrong, but I believe Pat`s brother
was born in 1937, and because she said relative born 1952
mother`s name Lesley, not knowing the surname, relationship
must be via father possible surname, Fearn , Gillott, Dodds or Whaley,

Yes, I had noticed that, and checked for Mother.
However, that birth was female, surely, or is it Welsh male?

Odd thing is, Pat looks to have had a brother born that time. Mother isn't Lesley though.

a) She (Lesley) does not have to be an unmarried mother
b) She (Lesley) does not have to have been born in Basford

And I have probably missed at least one out.

With 42 days to register a birth, he could perhaps be in the following June quarter?

There are births for these males to probably unmarried Mothers in Basford in the Jan/Mar 1952 quarter
Barker,Paul J, Chauntry, Gary J , Graham, Michael J, Lynch, Kellach, Massingham, Robert
But there does not appear to be a Lesley with any of those surnames born in Basford from 1925 to 1938.

In that case scrub the Anthony W.

Presumably that was Christian name Lesley?

Did you give information as to how to return to the boards?

boy born 1952 mother`s name Lesley lived Basford.

The most likely birth appears to be the April-June 1952 quarter in Derby district, not Basford. (Anthony W)

Look for the birth on freebmd.............presumably you know more than you have posted on here

If he was adopted, and you are a relative, add yourself to the national adoption contact register

I would guess that it is extremely unlikely that anyone would be able to help bearing in mind the lack of information provided. Presumably you do know a little more but preferred not to initially disclose it in a public forum.

To increase your chance of getting help and if you do know more then could you release a bit more information such as his birth mothers maiden name without compromising his or his mothers right to privacy.

Not without some idea of his surname or his mums name may help
