Nice one, jax

There were three other children born Staincross with the same mothers maiden name as those siblings one being an Antony born 1957....no Damien....maybe it was just a name he decided to call himself?

Seeing as staincross is 3 miles from Barnsley it looks likely that it could be him

If it is the correct family Timothy has a tree on here but his membership number is about 6 years old...so email address could be out of date

His parents married in Surrey and moved up to Barnsley before he was born and were on the ER in Barnsley up until 2002

There are births on freebmd for (probable) siblings Timothy, Jennifer, and Julie Heaton in the 1950's.......but NOT in Yorkshire, and no brother named Damien

They had another sister...............

Their father was named Robert

ErikaH Report 17 Apr 2013 22:23

Have you made any attempt to search for the siblings' births?

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 17 Apr 2013 22:22

I can't imagine that your mother doesn't know his date of birth...........try to get her tell you what it is.

I appreciate that she will find it difficult, but, if she knows it will help you, no doubt she will co-operate.

My mum wasn't very happy about me wanting to find him due to get problems she had when they were together and she is the only person who can tell me things about him but she has now come round to the idea so today told me about his siblings. I was 2 when he left so I don't know or remember anything myself

Well, that's a first.........I have never known a parent's birthplace to be recorded on an English birth cert

It seems strange that you have suddenly unearthed three siblings for him.........

Try looking for their births .................

Ben

Is your birth cert where you can easily get it?

If so, please do so, and look at it and say exactly what info it contains about your father......

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 17 Apr 2013 12:37

There's a birth in 1952 in Yorks for Anthony D...............might be worth checking out.

Does the BC give his occupation? Or an address for him? He might be listed on the historical ER

Ben

Ben Report 17 Apr 2013 12:34

No I was born in Portsmouth

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 17 Apr 2013 12:31

Is your birth the one registered in Huddersfield district?

You haven't recorded your POB on your entry on your GR tree

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Apr 2013 12:29

'Born in Barnsley' - could that have come from social services/adoption file?
Ben mentions "my birth father"

Without giving away too many of your personal details, where were you born or possibly where was your mother living? He might have been born in Barnsley, but lived close to her in Truro for instance

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 17 Apr 2013 12:25

The only info on the birth cert will be the address at the time..............and his occupation

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Apr 2013 12:16

Could it be that he was living in Barnsley? UK English BC don't give the place of birth for the parents

Was this a Scottish BC? Information is more detailed on those
