I am seeking a possible cousin Janet Spencer who rang me up in about 1977(?) saying she thought she might be the daughter of my aunt Iris D'Arcy (nee Jenkins). Janet would have been born in the early to mid 1940's and I believe she may have been living in the Chelmsford area when she contacted me.

Start by finding accurate birth info......then look on here in 'search all trees'

Or Friends reunited

Why wasn't she sure of whose child she was? Had she been adopted?

There is only one birth recorded for the D'arcy/Jenkins marriage

I see 2 sons but no daughter. I assume she was born before the marriage if she was born early to mid 40s.

Finding a Jenkins/Jenkins birth would be a 'needle in a haystack' task.

You can't even look for her in 'search all trees' as you don't know the forename she was given at birth

You could, of course, look for your aunt's name on here.................
