Try this website for information.

The year you mention is too recent to be online.

Go to this link and down load form PA1 S

http://hmctscourtfinder.justice.gov.uk/HMCTS/GetForm.do?court_forms_id=739

It will cost £6. If nothing is found, in the past they haven't bothered to tell you so.

Did it actually go to Probate?

If it didn't, there will be no record of it

Wondered that myself Reggie.

A friend who's father died 1998 sent for a copy of the Will and Probate which never arrived. When this was queried, the suggestion by the Probate Office was that if he and his widow held everything in joint accounts it wouldn't be entered in the Probate Calendar or be sent out if requested.

People who leave a small Estate won't end up on it either - something to do with inheritance tax.

Still - nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Hi Reggie & Detective

Thank you for your recent posts.

I'm not sure if it went to Probate.
