192.com shows a Jack D Wellock living in Waltham Abbey in 2005.
The most obvious John D Wellock was born in 1942 in Exeter.
So I think that even if he worked in Romford in e.g. the 1960's, he could have been born anywhere.
Any other clues about him?
Thanks.

Added:
Jack D Wellock married in Waltham Forest in 1968.

Hi all yes sorry Dame Shelley is exactly right. The John Wellock I am looking for worked at Romford Rd Swimming pool as a life guard in the 1960's. I am helping my sister in laws sister who is trying to find her biological father so it could be a bit difficult. All she knows is that he worked as a life guard, he lived in Green St which i think is Stratford He was tallish, glasses smartly dressed and was born about 1946/47 so would be abouit 67 ish now Thanks for all your help so far.

Did the man know about his daughter?

If not, care must be exercised when discussing this issue, as the man may have other family whose feelings should be considered

Have you tried friendsreunited? There is a workplace section on the site

Could he have pretended to be younger than he actually was, or are you sure of the birth year 1946/1947?

You would need to visit/contact the library closest to that address. They are searchable by address, and I don't know how long Green St. is.

At least you would get his full name.
