Of course Margaret. However, you could be proactive and use the Search All Members Trees :-D

Even if you don't renew, make sure that GR have your current email address if you change it. There have been replies on threads over 6 years old which have been picked up by a GR site and internet search- we've advised the new poster to send a PM (Personal message) to the thread originator as they are unlikely to be checking the thread after such long time.

As long as the registered email address is current, the lapsed member will recieve notification that someone is trying to contact them. They don't have to re-join to read it or reply; just log on to the site

Have you looked to see if anyone on here has William or Ellen in their trees, by using the Search/Search All Member Trees (top right)?

You can then contact them for more information.

I am looking for any relatives that belong to the William Baty or Ellen Mellors family that came to Canada in 1921/22. They seemed to be close to one another particularly Ellen who had sisters Eliza, Gertie, and Emily. Looking for a family connection... :-)
