In addition - If you can remember which SS or Agency organised the adoption contact them.
Write a letter to Christine and ask for it to be held on her file. If she's already accessed her file, they might be willing to forward it to her

I see by her birth GRO record that only a small cert would be issued indicating she was adopted.

Have you tried Search Trees
