Where are you George? I don't know anything about you except you were born in Surrey and adopted shortly after. I would really like to meet you! You are a missing part of my life and I would love to be able to sit down with you and have a good, long chat. If you see this, get in touch.

Lots of Love - Rosalind xx

Rosalind,

What have you done to try and find him?

At the very least, you could put his name in your family tree. so that contact could be established if he, or a relative of his who knows his history, comes looking on here.

Unfortunately it is highly unlikely that he will see your posting here - you need to go out and attempt to trace him.

In what way is he related to you?

Have you put yourself on the national adoption contact register?

Thanks for your replies Reggie and patchem.

The George I'm looking for is my half-brother. I didn't know about him until shortly before my mother died and have just started trying to trace him. George was a war baby and I know the odds of finding him - or even getting some news of what happened to him following his adoption, after such a long time - are very small indeed. However, I'm keen to try.

Many thanks for getting in touch and for your advice.
