It is always better to write than to phone.
That way, the recipient can consider whether they want to be contacted, or wish to remain private.
It gives them time to think.

Did you take note of the info about opting out?

When - and where - did you last see the man?

Are you in touch with his brother?

Norman

Norman Report 16 Sep 2013 09:43

As my cousin ,I knew about Gerald, and Beryl, I went to his funeral, but have seen Roger since. Roger's entry stopped before 2012 .Thank you all for your help so far

Maybe Norman is referring to the electoral roll on ancestry where it goes up to 1965 which has Gerald and Beryl living in Epping? obviously Roger would have been too young to be included

What do you mean by 'the ER stops early'?

He could have simply opted out of the public ER as soon as the facility to do so became available

Have you tried the phone book?

Look in 'search all trees'............anyone who has him in a GR tree must have had contact, in order to obtain his permission
