Assuming he is still a member send a private message via GR, say who you are, say where the link is, and that you would be pleased to be in touch.

Or, write a letter to that effect and post it :-) ( enclose an SAE)

Don't phone or just appear on their doorstep, it's too 'pushy', and they may be in the middle of something. :-D

Guys and Girls out there . . . I have found a 2nd cousin living locally to me (via Genes reunited) but I'm not sure the best method to contact him.

His grandfather and my grandfather were brothers, but I have had no contact what so ever with that branch of the family, even though they only live a couple of miles from me.

If anybody out there has done something similar, what is the best way you think is it is to contact him.
