Presumably marriages 2 and 3 were after the Short/Gibbons 1962 and before the Fernandez marriage of 1978.

What name did she marry as to Fernandez?

You are not going to find passenger lists to Spain. By the 70s most people would have flown anyway, or do you think there should be lists made available to the public for everyone leaving or coming into the country?...which in most cases would be holidays or business trips

She would not ' register gibbons as her maiden name.' Her maiden name stays the same. She would, probably, marry in her previous married name, but may have returned to her original surname.

So you are probably looking for

Kathleen CCC to Mr Newton (before 1983)

(For some reason I thought the marriage to Leon was in Spain)

Possibly she had been living as Newton before she married him, but time schedules too tight?

If you have problems in pinpointing the correct records......buy a copy of the marriage cert, to find out how old they were......and the names of their fathers (if they knew them)
