Beryl, do you know when she was born? There is no Audrey Wise/Wyse showing for Birmingham, either birth or marriage.

ADDED in passing, I attended Colmore Rd. in the early 60's! Fancy that.

Jan :-)

I think Beryl was born in Waterloo, Liverpool, in 1934, so Audrey could also have been born elsewhere.

NONE THAT I KNOW OF

patchem Report 16 Nov 2013 16:19

The Wise/Wooldridge Audrey appears to have siblings.

The Wise/Ellis may have no siblings - there are other births in these names, but slightly different areas.

These might be her parents, any recognition of their names?
Marriages Sep 1931
Ellis Winifred A Wise Wandsworth 1d 1252
Wise Herbert W Ellis Wandsworth 1d 1252

Otherwise Scotland for births....

Beryl has PM'd me the address. I have offered to check it out on the electoral register pre- and post-war, just to see if there is anyone with this name living there. If there is, this would likely be her parents, which might help us. Fingers crossed!

Thanks very much Patchem - it is obviously them (thank goodness for unusual names!).

What are your thoughts on this one? Audrey was obviously unmarried 1965, aged 31, so a bit borderline whether she might have married after this.

I am pretty confident about the deaths above, especially Jean's, and I suppose if desperate Beryl might get the cert to see if Audrey registered it. Whether it's worth it to trace an old schoolfriend I am not sure!

I can't see any trace of Audrey apart from the above, can you?

Sorry, went for meal.

Not finished looking, but not yet seen anything else showing for Audrey.

I always say to buy the death certificates, for any additional information that might help.
