Find Living Relatives

My grandfather's family were mostly born in Belfast in the late 19thC but moved to Hull between 1903 and 1910. I am looking to fill in the details of his six siblings. His name was Allan Samuel and his siblings were: James, John, Robert, Harry, Mary and Margaret.

Thank you for these replies. Yes I have the 1911 census but had missed the one deceased child: that was James the eldest who was born 1890. I had not seen on the census that Robert was feeble minded, that section on my print out is missing.
I have not attempted to discover details on the other siblings yet.

This is great stuff. I hadn't seen the 1871 England census but was aware that James Samuel had lived in Carnforth and worked at the iron Works, but this shows a much bigger family than he had in '61 - no surprise.

In the final record of your post I think it refers to the marriage of John Samuel with Mary Ann in Q4 1888, should I take it that her maiden name is Denvir-from your list. That would be another useful addition. She lived until 1960 and I never knew her, just a few metres away from my granny!!

Allan, That list of names are on the same page of the marriage records as John Samuel (your G. Grandfather). As there is only one Mary Ann it would appear that Mary Ann Denvir is your Grandfather's mother's maiden surname. IF you ordered the marriage certificate from GROIRE it would give you her father's name and occupation. You may then be able to find him of the 1901 Irish census..
