Since posting my latest I have been advised my relative has been moved to a nursing home in Kamo, Whangarei 0112 so at long last have been able to track her down. Thank you for all your help with my search.

thank you for the PM you sent Eileen (I haven't been at this site in the last couple of weeks)

that does seem rather appalling ...

I wonder whether you might consider just trying to contact neighbours directly

her unit was #16, there are units at the same address (94) with other unit numbers

for instance, if you google

15-94 Boundary Rd Tikipunga Whangarei

you find the telephone listing for 15/94 Boundary road

and the same for 18/94 ... 30/94 ... 50/94 ... 100/94 ...

I think you could just make up every unit number from 1 to quite a high number and you would hit a household ;)

if you were to try the nearest numbers as likely to be the nearest neighbours, and send a short letter explaining your search, and maybe asking a neighbour who couldn't help whether they know any longer-term residents who might have news and would pass the letter on to them? and if anyone knows her family, to pass it to a family member?

you couldn't send a stamped return envelope, but an addressed one could help

Thank you for your help. However, I sent an email to the contact of Fallsestate to which there was no response. In desperation I telephoned on the contact telephone number given and a person called Graham put the telephone down on me !! This chap is supposed to be administrating the elderly and vulnerable ... once again these places are more about money than care !!! Sadly disappointed.

the address in Whangarei seems to be a retirement village

http://www.fallsestate.co.nz/for-sale/

it is for sale at the moment

http://www.fallsestate.co.nz/for-sale/2-bedroom-with-ensuite/

depending on how long ago Cynthia lived there, one would think that someone would know of her - the administrators of the property complex, the present property owner, neighbours ...

it seems to be a full-service complex, it even has webmail for residents

surely they would respond to queries

The white pages link I posted above is for a location not far from the ones you mention. Have you considered it?

You're welcome ...

Have you looked to see if they are in anyone's tree on here?

Otherwise, highly unlikely that anyone else will have any information about them.

that one little clue missing hm? a mother's surname, a date, a location ...

I wonder whether he was George Victor Baker and she was Eugenie Elizabeth L Chubb

this would mean Peter would be nearly 90 if so ... so perhaps not ... but yes, Eileen has Eugenie Chubb in her tree

do you know he is deceased and so you are looking for Cynthia? was she considerably younger?

could Tim possibly be a plumber?

I am seeking information on the above who married my cousin Peter Baker. They had two children Tim and Gillian. They also emigrated to New Zealand several years ago. Peter Baker's parents were Victor and Eugenie Baker.
