There are births showing for 2 sons on free bmd.

Do you know how many children they had, and have you looked for them on facebook?

Also, have you looked to see if they are in anyone's tree on here?

Added:
Third son born in 1961 showing on ancestry.

Do you think they stayed in the Yorkshire area, or is there any possibility that they emigrated?

John

John Report 18 Jun 2014 22:09

Not sure if he emigrated. His mother left Sheffield after her 2nd marriage and I think went to live in Manchester because that's where I found a death for a Winifred McQuire in 1968 so possibly he did emigrate after his mum died. For some reason after all these years his face and name keeps cropping up in my mind. He was my brothers best friend who is still alive and now 79 so would be great if I could find him for my brother, of course he could have died. Many thanks Patchem

Just wondering

http://ryersonindex.net/search.php (summary of death notices taken from newspapers)

HOMER Ena

Death notice 25 DEC 2002
Death 65 (works out as born 1937)

Sadly, from the same site

HOMER James Caleb

Death notice 09 JUL 2010
Death age 74
late of Barrack Heights
Published in Illawarra Mercury
on 10 JUL 2010

From Wiki - Barrack Heights is a suburb of the City of Shellharbour in New South Wales, Australia in the local government area of the same name. Its also on the outer edge of the greater Sydney metropolis.

If you were to contact the Illawarra Mercury, they might be willing to give you the details of the Notice, and possibly pass on a message to the person who placed it.
