Mumsy since you have posted in Living Relatives you are looking for his descendants?
or for descendants of his family members in England??

It really is wise to give the information you have and state what you want to find, to save other members doing pointless research

(if you read the board here you know that it is other members who reply to try to help, not family members who magically find your message)

presumably you know about the family in Australia, if you are a descendant there

one other child recorded in NSW

6977/1879
HAYHOW SYDNEY JOSEPH
father THOMAS
mother JANE
district WATERLOO

it really helps if you say whether you are descended from Thomas in Australia or from one of his siblings in England, for instance ... in fact it's essential if anyone is to know what you would like to find, and help find it ...

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 27 Mar 2016 23:05

I now see that other threads at this site indicate that Mumsy is in England

so presumably her ancestors were Thomas Hayhow's parents or something like

birth reg to go with the baptism posted earlier

Births Jun 1844
Hayhowe Thomas Hackney 3 194

and at long last, the 1851 census

Name: Thomas Haybow
Age: 7
Estimated birth year: abt 1844
Relation: Son
Father's name: John Haybow
Mother's name: Elizabeth Haybow
Where born: Clapton, Middlesex, England
Civil Parish: Hackney
County/Island: Middlesex
Registration district: Hackney
Sub-registration district: Stoke Newington

John Haybow 39
Elizabeth Haybow 35
Mary Ann Haybow 15
Henry Haybow 11
John Haybow 9
Thomas Haybow 7
William Haybow 4
Joseph Haybow 2

and thence the 1861 census (searching for hay*w rather than hayb* now)

Name: Thomas Haylow
Age: 18
Estimated birth year: 1843
Relation: Son
Father's name: John Haylow
Mother's name: Elizabeth Haylow
Where born: Clapton, Middlesex, England
Civil Parish: Hackney
County/Island: Middlesex
John Haylow 50
Elizabeth Haylow 48
Thomas Haylow 18
William Haylow 15
Joseph Haylow 12
Elizabeth Haylow 9
Richard Haylow 6

If it turns out Mumsy is looking for family in England not Australia, those are his family memers ...

Thanks for the help , Thomas was my gt gt uncle, I am in England, I am on ancestry, also on face book, although I have found some new relations in England I am finding it hard to get relatives abroad as my name doesn't come up as Hayhow and I know people don't like responding to people with a different name.
