Juan A. Hord - Argentina, National Census, 1895
Name Juan A. Hord
Event Type Census
Event Date 1895
Event Place Sección 08, Subdivisión 09 , Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Argentina
Gender Male
Age 23
Marital Status Married
Birth Year (Estimated) 1872
Birthplace England
Piece/Folio 244-253

married to Lucia, same age, also born in England. Juan was a modista (dressmaker).

(a) not a lot of people born in England were named Juan

(b) many people named Hore/Hoar/Hoare changed their name, particularly after emigration, because it lost its 'Ore' pronunciation and they disliked the association; Hoard, Ore and Howard were common choices, for example

so it's quite likely that he was born something like John Hore and she was Lucy.

However, he would have been a generation after Agnes. But another one to keep in mind, along with the younger generation Charles, in case there was a family connection.

... a John Matthew Hoar may have married Lucy Ann Rolfe in Aylesbury Q3 1895 though and that might most likely be them ... depending on when that census was taken. Also a John Hoare may have married a Lucy Beatrice Lenox in Birkenhead 1890 ...
