Hello!

I am trying to trace an older brother.
Details are a little sketchy...
Name: Michael A Jones born in Woolwich in 1958, 1959 or 1960 (there appear to be three birth entries for the same person..???
Parents: Leslie J Jones (born 1940), Patricia E Greenfield (born 1942)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Was he adopted ?

Well his birth was reg in sept 1958 and then added to in June 1959

Usually this means the parents weren't married. But later married therefore legitimising any children already born

The sept 1958 record shows him reg under both surnames so his father is on the birth cert but they weren't married

If you look on FreeBMD the parents did marry in June qtr 1959

do you imagine the person really wants it all stuck up here on the internet where any search engine finds it? did you ask him?
