Do you know that they actually had any children?

I am not seeing any Dean/Walls births registered in Lancashire after 1942 on FreeBMD.

Bit of a theory, will email you Roger

There is a birth out of the area which seems very likely, given that there was a later marriage for that person back in lancs and children to that marriage who were at one time living at the address shown on probate record for Roger.

and Roger ... it really isn't fair to post a general query (about someone who might not even be the person you are looking for?) when someone like Rose has been helping you privately and no one else knows what has been found or investigated ...

or to start multiple threads about the same thing

particularly without giving any background or mentioning the other threads ...

Joonie, and anyone else looking, it's very complicated lol.

But as we have worked through all the 'likely' Roger Dean's and as many of the others as could be 'possibles', it's really a case of going over the same ground to try and find a clue that's been missed perhaps.

One we have definitely ruled out, and with Roger's permission of course, I can give details if you Joonie or anyone else wants to have a crack at this :-)

There are only a few Roger Deans of possibly the right age in UK, though there is an outside chance given it was war time that Roger may have come from elsewhere.

I have emailed Roger with a possible birth as mentioned and subsequent current info with the suggestion that a discreet message just asking whether there is any likely connection might be worth trying, if only to eliminate.
