Welcome to the Boards and GR Susan.

Have looked to see if anyone on this site lists him in their trees? Use the Search all members trees - top right under Search. If he is listed, send the tree owner a message using the 'find out more' link asking how they are related.

Were you aware that he may have both a younger and older brother?
If not, go to http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
Select Births
Caddick in the surname box
Jones in the mother's maiden name box
A year range eg 1930-1950
Select Stoke-on-Trent from the Registration District box.

The following trees have a Philip Caddick 1944

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/messages/762122/discover?rk=41113295

Its possible that your father has 2 accounts on this site
http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/messages/4036226/discover?rk=132704922
http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/messages/10394100/discover?rk=441616514

the last one is the most recent. Send him a message - if he still has the same linked email address, he'll be notified that you wish to contact him. Non subscribers can reply to messages, but not instigate them. Just in case its a relative rather than himself, say something along the lines that you believe you may be related and did he know your mother.

There are several listings for a P Caddick in Cheshire in the BT phone book, Cheshire being a possible last place where he appeared on the Electoral Roll to 2003 when the home was sold.

If you go down that route - write, don't phone as they may be totally unrelated
