THEY LIVED A FEW HOUSES DOWN FROM MY GRANDAD AND GRANDMA. MY GRANDADS SISTER WAS SARAH KNOWN AS SALLY. THEY LIVED IN THE HOUSE BEFORE HAROLD AND FAMILY. 	John K Pennington was indeed 'a parson' so I think you are mistaken that the marriage was in 1948, but occurred in 1952 to Mr Pennington: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kenneth_Pennington

	In the 1939 census Jean ? Pennington (Cheetham) 1928 is living with Harold S Chatham and Emma Chatham. Anyone with full access?

	John K Pennington went to Bombay from Liverpool in 1959 with Jean and their 3 sons. Jean's date of birth was 3.3.1928.
