I cannot see a birth for him in Scotland, but there is a possible in Devon, so marriage could have been in either country?

There is a marriage for a John Charles in 1941 in St Giles, and as the birth noticed was in Plympton, there is a marriage there in 1924- English and Wales marriages will only state as John C.

I am still not clear whether you want John Rickett's (1902) children and grandchildren, or his sibling's children and grandchildren, of which there could be many.

You could look for the families in 1939.

You could look to see if any of the people so far mentioned are in any trees on here, and try to make contact with them.

He is also in a tree on Ancestry.

I know about the family in Devon. I am looking for possible family in Scotland. I have a copy of John Charles Ricketts' death certificate and the informant was ason, not from Devon.

Have you looked for a will for him?

I did point out a possible marriage for him in Scotland, but that was in 1941 - do you know when he left Devon? That wife was Janet Roxton B Clark.

Did he actually divorce, or possibly just live with someone else? (What information is on Doris's death certificate?)

Have you looked for possible births of that son in Scotland?

Janet Roxton BU Ricketts died in 2001 in Livingston, age 80.
