His records are likely to be the India Office, British Library

Try looking at the National archives, the indications are that there are no records on line, you have to go there

Also if you would like to post his details, born when, where etc etc there are army records available on other sites, such as fmp, ancestry you never know he might just be on there.

Can anyone advise me of where to start applying for records of my g/grandfather who was in the Indian Army. I would like a copy of his records but not sure where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
