ww2 war records wanted,

Would anyone be able to help with the records of my Father in law, Please,
His name Jack Jackson, and any medals he would have had,army number 1566945, we have him down as Royal Artillery, Gunner, but think he was a desert rat,
Think he would have been living in Lancashire, Thanks

Army personnel service records for WW2 are still held by the MOD and are not available online but you can apply for them at a cost of £30 and it can take up to 9 months

Thank you Roy, I wonder how much information they will give us,if it was all Jacks army life £30 not a bad price to pay, thanks for getting back to me :-)

Sorry but WW2 records are not in public domain, so not viewable anywhere.

However they can be applied for by NOK see the link for details..it explains all

Note these records will cost £30-00, and can take 9 months to receive them, b
