My Father's Family did live at 2,Pratts Passage.Hartlepool

WW2 army records are still with the MOD and not online. You can apply here for your father's records but they cost about £30 and take quite a long time to arrive (anything up to a year):-

I am just getting into the detail of Family History and I need some help re my Father,
Mathew Steel Austin,born 14 April 1906. He was in the Royal Artillery during the War.He was at Emden when the ammunition dump was blown up,That's as much as I know about his service record.Can anyone help!
