Hi could someone have a look at these records on Ancestry for me there are a few William Ralston's or W Ralston's I would like to see, my Grandfather was born in Liverpool 1912 if it helps as I don't know what information is on these records

Thank you Col xx

Yes there are many W Ralston or William in these records, most of them relate to dates before your grandfather was born. Even so none of the records tell when a person was born or where, they just give what medal they were entitled/received

Seeing he was born in 1912,I'm guessing he would have served in WW2, in which case there no records which relate to a William or W Ralston in these records

So do you know for definite that he served in the military in WW2 or even before.or after

If so his service records are not in the public domain, still held by the MOD, but they can be applied for by NOK or someone who has the permission of NOK. But you need to know which branch of the military he served in

I know this is not your person but I give an example of what the transcription mentions in these records
