On the Findmypast record his next of kin is his father, Henry Tasker, 86 Lea Road, Gainsborough.

John Henry is 5 ft. 6 1/2 inches, 113 lbs., chest measurement 32", maximum Chest expansion 34 1/2 inches, fresh complexion, grey eyes, dark brown hair. Church of England. Single.

His last employers were Messrs. Marshall, Sons and Co. Gainsborough. His trade was a Moulder.

He was born in the parish of Holy Trinity, Gainsborough. At the time of attestation was living in the parish of St. John's, Gainsborough.

Attested 30th June 1900.
Embodied 1st August 1900.

He had been rejected at an earlier date for military service because he was under chest size and weight for military service.

There are 4 images in his service record and there is no other information on them apart from the above.

There is a service record for him on findmypast British Army Service Records 1760-1915,

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/

I can see nothing on Ancestry for him in WW1 and no WW1 medal card for him on the national archives web site so he may have been invalided out before or very early durin WW1 had he continued to serve durin WW1 his service WW1 records (should? ) all have survived along with his previous records but that was not always the case, abt 60/70% of WW1 army service records (excluding medal cards) where distroyed in WW2 bombings
