Midlands, England, Electoral Registers, 1832-1955 about Birt Smith
Name: Birt Smith & Lois)

Street address: 105 MORLEY road
Residence Place: Birmingham

In the same building as a separate household were
James Woodman

Ivy Irene Woodman
They were all on the 1935 at 5 Highfield Terrace as well.

1945 as 1939, but of the Woodmans, only James is listed
1950 & 1955 as 1945 inc James

Ah - Lois' maiden name was Woodman - that would explain it :-)

As you've probably already worked out what happened to the Woodmans, we won't go there unless you ask

Thank you this is the one i have got, i think they must have got destroyed as i have struggled to find anything else, but will keep trying. Don't know if the regiments would keep any records themselves.

Thanks

This one?? Note the MOD spelling

British Army WWI Medal Rolls Index Cards, 1914-1920 about Bert Smith
Name: Bert Smith
Regiment or Corps: Royal Warwickshire Regiment, Machine Gun Corps
Regimental Number: 20100, 157828

Award the British and Victory Star

It could be that his full records are amongst those destroyed in WW2 bombing - over 70% went up in flames
..

Ancestry do hold possible Midlands ER listings for him with the spelling as you have given. Do already have those?
