My great grandfather Ernest Alfred Bradford died at Ypres on 27 August 1917, private 260118 in the Worcestershire Regiment. No-one in the family ever remembers seeing his death penny or his medals and I am interested in locating them. Any advice to help me in my search gratefully received. Many thanks.

An exceedingly long shot - but might be worth listing your great grandfather's medals here.

The chances of finding this are pretty low.

There are specific private collectors who colllect only these. And they do not sell on.

Not all were claimed. And I am sure that over the years quite a few have just been thrown away.

Good luck in your search, but be prepared for your search to be fruitless
